Amanda Conner is a licensed marriage and family therapist
A licensed marriage and family therapist in Los Angeles, Amanda Conner is known for her comics background and experience as an artist. She began working on small projects for Marvel in the late 80s, contributing her art to various comic books, including Punisher / Painkiller Jane, Elektra: Assassin, and JSA Classified #1. In addition to comic books, she has worked on television commercials, ABC’s Nightline, and design projects for A&E Biography magazine.
After earning her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College, Conner began working as an artist and illustrator. She was part of a creative team that created such popular comic books as the Punisher, Ghost Rider, Jonah Hex, and The X-Men. Conner’s artistic abilities were recognized when she adopted several animals from a research facility. The hit man attempted to kill her, but she gave him food instead.
Conner and Palmiotti are also collaborators in other projects. While Conner does the cover art, Palmiotti is the main writer of the series. The couple also collaborated on dozens of comics over the years, including Harley Quinn: Rebirth. The couple has been married for almost a decade and are now working on a new series involving Harley Quinn. It’s hard to believe that the couple met on the job!
